Welcome to the DFW Great 100 Nurses Community. The mission of the Great 100, since 1990, is to recognize professional Registered Nurses for their contributions to the communities in which they live and practice both the art and science of nursing. The Great 100 recognizes 100 professional RNs each year that have been nominated by their peers, practice sites, families and patients entrusted to their care, primarily from the DFW metro-plex and surrounding counties. The nurses recognized come from the all practice areas in nursing including acute care, sub-acute care, school nursing, nurse leaders, academics and many more.
The Great 100 celebration raises the awareness of the contributions of nurses to patient care, research, leadership, education and community service of more than 15,000 nurses practicing in the DFW area. In addition, the celebration builds the image of nursing through positive reinforcement of the nursing profession as a scientific art and the recognition of those who exemplify excellence.
